Hi! My name is Sania Hasan, and I’m a junior at Michigan State University majoring in Computer Science with minors in Computational Mathematics, Science & Engineering (CMSE) and Business. I chose Computer Science because I enjoy problem-solving and working through challenging problems, and I’m especially interested in exploring how technology can be used to solve real-world problems.

I first joined Women in Computing (WIC) because I loved the sense of community and the opportunity to connect with other students interested in technology. I previously served as the Lean In Chair, and I’m now incredibly excited to serve as President! My goal on the e-board is to continue building the supportive and welcoming community that made me love WIC in the first place. I also hope to create meaningful opportunities for members to connect, grow, and feel more confident as they pursue their interests and careers in computing.

Outside of WIC, I enjoy spending time with my friends, grabbing a bite to eat, and traveling whenever I get the chance. I’m also a member of Phi Sigma Rho, where I’ve enjoyed meeting new people and being part of another community of engineers on campus.

Hi! I’m Sarika Kona, a senior majoring in Information Science and this year’s Vice President for WIC! One of my favorite things about WIC is the strong sense of community, it’s such a welcoming and supportive space! Outside of WIC, I enjoy playing tennis, pickleball, and spending time with friends. I’m looking forward to such an amazing year with everyone!

Hi, my name is Olivia Whitlock and I am WIC's treasurer for the 2026-2027 school year! I am a junior majoring in computer science, and this is my fourth year in WIC. I joined WIC in the fall of my freshman year to meet more women in computer science since I hadn't really started taking CSE classes yet. WIC has given me so many of my friends that I see both in and outside of class, and has truly given me a strong base of support. Outside of WIC, I am the chapter president of Michigan State's chapter of Pi Beta Phi. Some hobbies of mine include reading (my favorite genre is sci-fi), listening to music (Lana Del Rey and Charli XCX are my favs), and scrapbooking/crafting. I'm so excited to be able to give back to the club that has already given me so much!

Hello! My name is Arita, and I'm a junior studying Computer Science! I'm interested in CS because of how versatile and impactful it is. WIC has been a space where I've been connected with valuable resources and opportunities, while meeting some really great and supportive friends along the way. While on E-Board, I hope to create the same welcoming environment, while helping our members connect with new people, resources, and opportunities!

Hiii! I'm Yashwitha (Yaz), a Data Science Master's student at MSU. I chose it because it sits right at the intersection of computing and human health, which is exactly where I want to be. I research EEG signal activity to evaluate anxiety treatments, study uterine contractions to predict labor and prevent labor dystocia, and have a growing interest in computational imaging and brain imaging in precision medicine.

At MSU, I'm a Graduate Research Assistant in the CPL Lab (Department of Psychology) and the Hoffmann Lab (Department of Animal Science), and Tech Lead of the Spartan Hackers Club. As Outreach Chair of WIC, I love that it's a community where women in tech genuinely lift each other up, and I'm excited to bring more young students into the field through fun and engaging events.

Outside of academics, I love exploring new food spots and shopping. Miches De La Baja in Riverside, CA has the best beer-battered fish tacos I've ever had — highly recommend!

Hi! My name is Sarah Leatch, and I am the current Corporate Relations Chair for Women in Computing. I am a junior at MSU studying Computer Science with a concentration in AI and a minor in Business. As Corporate Relations Chair, I’m excited to connect WIC with companies and create opportunities for our members to learn, network, and grow professionally. I’m very interested in the intersection between business and technology, and I hope to pursue a project management role in the future. I’ll be graduating a semester early, so I’m hoping to study abroad in Europe during my last semester! I’m super excited for this next year and can’t wait to meet everyone!

Hi! I’m Safa, a junior studying Computer Engineering with a concentration in Smart Systems. I’m interested in automotive technology, robotics, embedded systems, and how hardware and software come together to solve Connected Car Engineering team, and previously interned at TI Fluid Systems. In my free time, I enjoy photography, volleyball, working out, and finding new coffee shops. Hi my name is Victoria Uchendu, I am a senior Computer Science major. I chose computer science because it allows me to excercise both the creative part of myself and the part of myself that loves problem solving. My favorite thing about WIC is how much the club as helped me develop professionally and the community that I have gained from WIC. I hope as Social Media Manager I can help to promote our club to our members and potential newcomers and help to increase engagement in our club.

I love WIC because it provides such a welcoming space to meet other amazing women who are supportive, kind, and passionate while also giving me opportunities to grow professionally. My favorite memory with WIC was getting to attend the 2025 Grace Hopper Conference!
